Conkers and Acorns
When we go walking around the block or walking in the woods, Alistair loves to pick up acorns. He puts them in his pocket, which is cute because he is concentrating so hard. Just around the corner from us a large chestnut tree. He likes to throw the conkers into a puddle, or put them in his pocket. Once the nuts are in the house, he likes to put them in his Bruder dump truck and drive them around the house. When Alyssa did the laundry a few days ago, she accidentally washed eight acorns.

Greta loves acorns, too.
ReplyDeleteIt took us about 45 minutes to walk a 400m stretch to the ocean on our vacation b/c she had to fill her pockets with acorns.
We then proceeded to throw them all into the water.
Warning: I thought they would make a nice decoration, and filled a small vase with them (last fall). They will turn moldy on you, so beware!
