When we woke up Alistair on Sunday morning, our first day in England, the first words out of Alistair's mouth were "Choo choo train." Despite the hectic day of travel, air planes, car rentals, and a strange hotel, he had focused in on our trip to see the steam trains at the Didcot Railway Centre. The Railway Centre has a collection of steam trains, coaches, buildings, a roundabout, and a recreation of Brunel's wide gauge railroad. Of course Alistair was most interested in the steam trains. We went on three train rides - the two standard guage steam trains and the wide gauge steam train.
