First Evening in Avignon

Today we flew to France and then took a train to Avignon. Alistair loved seeing the trams in Montpelier and the trains at the station. Alistair thought the train station resembled a tunnel, so he was very excited not only to see trains but to see trains in a tunnel. While waiting at the the station for our train to Avignon, we watched a passing freight train, which was carrying cars. Alistair enjoyed riding on the train to Avignon. He insisted on sitting his bum on a seat
(not Alyssa's lap), but he was often standing and looking out the window. Going through a tunnel was the highlight of his day.

We ate dinner at one of the outdoor restaurants at the Place de L'horloge. Alistair was most interested in running around and walking around the end of the carousel. Here he is planning our itinerary for tomorrow.

After dinner, we walked over to the Place de Popes. Alistair wanted to walk up and down all the stairs.
