It is Sleigh Ride week at Billings Farm. Alistair loves going on the sleigh and wagon rides there. Alistair knows the names of the horses that often pull the sleigh/wagon (Jim and Joe) and knows the driver, whose name is Alec. We are such regulars that today Alec invited Alistair to sit up front with him. Alistair was transfixed by Jim and Joe and their sleigh bells (or jingle bells as he calls them).
During the car ride home, we asked Alistair what his favorite part of Billings Farm was today. He replied "Cookies." We were expecting the sleigh ride or maybe even petting the baby calves, but he chose instead the homemade cookies that were John Quincy Adams favorites - soft molasses cakes.
