Severn Valley Railroad

Today we drove from London to Adlington, stopping at Bridgnorth to ride the Severn Valley Railroad. We rode the steamtrain to Highly, where they have an engine house.

The engine house has several steam locomotives, including one large blue one named Gordon (just like in the Thomas the Tank Engine stories).

After lunch at the engine house, we took the steam train back to Bridgnorth.

Alistair loves trains, but he is also a little frightened of them. Here he is with Colin. The steam engine has just been having a drink.
