Today we went to the Boothbay Railway Museum to see Thomas the Tank Engine. Alistair was excited to see everything - the old red caboose by the entrance, the bouncy Thomas, the tractor pulled kiddie ride, the toy Thomas layout, and of course Thomas himself circling around the museum. We went to see the Fat Controller (Sir Topham Hatt), but that was a mistake. He was a bit nervous, but when we got closer, Alistair shouted "Goodbye!" and buried his head in Alyssa's neck and cried.
We rode Thomas on the narrow, two foot gauge, track in a loop around the museum. Alistair enjoyed going through the "tunnel" (covered bridge) and waving out the window.
After our train ride, we went on a tractor pulled hay ride, had some lunch, played some more with the Thomas toy trains, watched some Thomas videos, had a Percy temporary tattoo, and ran around on the grass. Alistair had a great time.
